The fees listed below include:

Small Household Pets     (Dogs, Cats, etc.)

$16-$17 per visit

A typical visit lasts 20-30 minutes, however, if our schedule allows for it, we will stay a little longer. This visit typically includes up to two pets of the same household. An example of pets priced at this level this would be healthy cats using a litter box, dogs that only need to be let out in the yard to do their business, etc. On the other hand, the following will result in a higher fee: more than one dog requiring a walk, difficult pet behavior, unusually late or early times being requested for the visits, holidays, major cleaning of pet areas, etc. If you are a new client, we will discuss specifics including additional charges for more than 2 pets during our pre-sitting visit. Additional pets are usually $1 more per pet per visit.

Please note: Due to the rapid increase in gas prices, most visits will be $1 more beginning April 1 ($17 rather than $16), however, we will honor the earlier pricing for visits that have already been booked. If gas prices fall significantly, we will certainly decrease our price as soon as that occurs.

Midday Discount: If you use our service for a midday visit in addition to a morning or evening visit (priced at $17 or more) - or need two midday visits - the price of one midday visit per day will be reduced by $1! Otherwise, a standard visit whether it is in the morning, middle of the day, or evening will be the same price.

Horses

$21 per visit

The minimum charge for visits that include one or two horses or one horse and up to two small pets of the same household is $21. Additional horses are $2 more per visit. As with the other pets, whether this price will apply depends on the amount of care needed. The price includes feeding, giving fresh water, observation for overall health, applying fly masks or fly spray, checking for obvious signs of injury or illness, etc. It does not include a thorough cleaning of stalls or extensive grooming. Those services may be added for an additional cost.

Extended Visits

$5 per visit

You have the option to extend our standard visit by an extra 15-20 minutes for $5 more per visit. This allows for longer walks, additional petting, more playtime, and keeping your pet company a bit longer. Extended visits are perfect for situations where a dog needs lots of activity or when the pet is used to having his family in the home for most of the day --- or simply to spoil your pet while you're gone! You can extend as many or few of the visits as you like and can request a combination of standard length and extended visits. (Extended visits may not be available on holidays and holiday weekends, but please ask anyway if you are interested.)

Holiday Fee - $5 extra per day
Holidays include: New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Easter Weekend (Good Friday through Easter Sunday), Memorial Day Weekend, Independence Day, Labor Day Weekend, Thanksgiving, the Day After Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. This amount is owed in addition to regular fees.

Service Area
We are in Lexington, a few miles south west of Lexington High School. To enable us to travel from one client's home to the next without long delays, we usually limit our services to clients who are no more than 15 miles from our business location. We can give you an estimate of the distance between your home and our office when you call or e-mail with your address. If you have an emergency and we agree to provide services beyond our usual service area, there will be an additional charge.

Pet Food and Supplies
Owner must provide all food for pets and any other items (e.g. cat litter, medication) that will be required by the pet. If supplies are insufficient, Ark Angels will obtain additional supplies, attempting to duplicate content and brands and there will be a $15 restocking fee per trip to the store in addition to the cost of the items.

Short Notice Fee

Arrangements that include less than 48 hours notice will entail a short notice fee. The additional charge will be $5 extra if the request is for one visit. If more than one visit is required, the fee will be $10 regardless of whether the number of visits.

Key Pick Up and Return
We prefer to only keep your key when we are providing services for you. There is never any charge for key pick up if you provide your key when the service agreement is signed. If your key is not available at that time and you want us to pick up the key at a later date, we will schedule that with you and a $5 per trip fee may be assessed. Ark Angels will also return your key in person at no charge provided this entails only one trip to your home or office. If additional trips are needed a $5 fee per additional trip will be charged. If you have used us at least two times with these standard key arrangements and your pet care needs will be at least once a month, you can inquire about our "Ark-Key" Program where we will retain a copy of your key to facilitate visits.

Payment
Ark Angels accepts payment only in cash or by check and payment must be made prior to when services are to begin. Please make checks payable to Ark Angels, LLC.

Cancellations and Credit for Early Returns
A reasonable fee of not more than $10 may be imposed for cancellations of holidays if they are not received more than one week in advance. For standard visits, if you need to cancel after you have signed the service agreement and you give at least 48 hours notice, all money received will be returned. If less than 48 hours notice is received for a cancellation, Ark Angels will return the amount paid minus the cost of one visit. Early returns or delayed departures (of 24 hours or less) will be handled as a "credit towards future services" and will apply only if you provide Ark Angels with at least 6 hours notice that you will be delayed in leaving or returning early. Credits apply only when you schedule subsequent service within 90 days. With prompt notification of your early return, if more than 24 hours remains on your scheduled visits, you will be reimbursed minus the cost of one visit just like we do for a timely cancellation of services

Keep in mind that we may bill for certain other fees all of which will be discussed with you prior to signing a service agreement. This includes things like the need to restock pet food or emergency medical care.

We prefer to focus in the Lexington and Gilbert area so we can be easily accessible to provide care for your home and pets. Ark Angels has the goal to remain sufficiently small so we can get to know you and your pets. We will make certain to have extra time available to handle any emergencies that come up. If you have special needs or an emergency but live outside our normal service areas, please check with us and we will try to help by discussing other area pet care options.
