Artist - Quilter - Author - Gardener - Speaker
Jeanne has interests that go in many directions. She views this as a good thing and hopes that your own interests take you in many directions as well. Her undergraduate degree was in political science and after that she graduated from law school. She is a member of the South Carolina Bar, although not practicing law at the present time, and active in several gardening and quilting groups. Her hobbies include everything from genealogy to travel and her outdoor activities involve horses, hiking, gardening, and - if she travels elsewhere - snow skiing. She has a wonderful family, some really special pets, and is always happy to meet a new friend.
Her first job right out of law school was as Deputy Jail Administrator and she worked in law enforcement at a time when few women pursued that field. For many years she was a captain with a local law enforcement agency and later taught law. After she retired from this challenging career, with her children grown, she pursued more. Towards the top of that list were photography enhanced by using computer software, quilting, and gardening. Jeanne has been pursuing these interests for almost 10 years now and is eager to share them with you. Jeanne makes it a point to learn several new things a day and hopes you do that as well. There are so many things to learn about in our world!
Jeanne shares her interests through her writing, her art, and presentations in lecture and workshop format. She has had many articles published and taught classes for adults for over 14 years. Above all, she strives to make learning fun!
