Christmas is getting closer! I try to get a few more things accomplished each day. Somehow it always happens that when Christmas arrives, everything on the to-do list has been completed so why do we worry so much about getting there? Besides making another trip to the post office today (there have been lots of them), I hope to work on completing my Santa quilt. The quilt guild that I belong to had a Santa Block exchange - maybe two years ago - and I have the top all pieced together and that has been completed for quite some time, so I need to sandwich and quilt it and add a sleeve for hanging. I will post a picture when it is completed. Our weather has been changing from day to day. Yesterday was very pleasant so you could be outdoors without a sweater or a jacket, but it will get cold again. I have a surprising number of flowers in bloom in the garden. There are camellias, pansies, roses, and still a few salvias in bloom. It has dipped below 32 degrees a few times but apparently not for very long, because you can tell the first hard freeze has not happened yet. Hopefully, next time you look at my blog, the picture of my Santa quilt will be here to greet you!
