Things have been hectic around here.  We had a wonderful visit with my younger daughter and son-in-law when they were here for Thanksgiving.  The food was wonderful as well.  It always is!  Of course, right after Thanksgiving all the busy time of getting ready for Christmas begins.  We also found some lumps on my Golden Retriever that had to be dealt with, so she was taken to the vet on the Saturday after Thanksgiving and has had surgery with the outcome being that one lump was cancerous, but the vet got a good clean margin around it, which is considered "cured."  Thank goodness all of this moved along so quickly.  She was in surgery a week after the lump was found.  So, those with pets, especially older pets (Crystal is 10), remember to keep checking them for lumps or bumps and let your vet check them out, too.  Meanwhile, our house is 98% compete with the decorating and most of the gifts are bought and some wrapped and mailed.  I still have a few homemade ones that I need to make, so I wish you a happy time as you prepare for the holidays!
