Although it's usually to be expected at this point in the summer, we are certainly having it hot! It seems like it is at (or close to) 100 degrees nearly every day. Thankfully our thunderstorms continue to show up. I know that can't last. Surprisingly my plants are looking rather good. Of course, I have my potted tomato plants in semi-shade which isn't the best for tomato production, but at least it is keeping them alive and healthy looking. I figure maybe they can have sun and produce tomatoes after Labor Day! Do you think they mind? I am growing Sweet Dumpling Squash for the first time this year and those plants are really traveling. Nothing to pick from them yet, but the vines are twisting and twining into everything in sight. It sort of reminds you of kudzu... but, no, they are not kudzu!
Meanwhile, the heat is a good excuse to stay inside and do some quilting. I should have some things completed soon and will post some pictures. All I completed in the past two days was to hem several pairs of my pants. I told my husband that I think the clothing manufacturers should start making their pants length so they fit me. If anyone is taller, they can just add extra fabric to the bottom of their pants. It's not fair that I am always the one who has to do the altering!
Well, this week is very close to over so I will wish everyone a great week next week. Stop in again to visit me.
