I finally got to pick a tomato from one of my tomato plants today.  Yum!  It did not last long after I picked it.  This was from Silvery Fir Tree.  We had our tomato tasting at our Master Gardener meeting yesterday and lots of people agreed that the tomatoes are slow to develop and to ripen this year.  I just have to think that there will be lots of fall tomatoes so it will all balance out.

My other recent endeavor was to practice packing for my trip to Poland.  You know how you wonder if it will all fit in the suitcase?  Well, so far, so good!  I have only traveled in Europe for a full two weeks one time before and I know I took a much larger suitcase that time, but we all know how luggage is more limited now.

My blocks for the Birthday Block Exchange are almost finished to the point where I don't have to worry about them until well after my trip.
