#3 Birthday Grins & Giggles
April 24, 2010

Have you ever planned a surprise birthday party for someone?  Well, the surprise birthday party is #3 of my Birthday Grins & Giggles.  I planned a surprise birthday party for my husband and it worked!  It also took a lot of coordination.  His remaining brother and sister-in-law who live in New York sometimes come down to the beach in South Carolina where his mother lives.  Even better, it turned out that my younger daughter and her husband were going to be at the beach because of his job.  Having that many in the family together at one time, definitely triggered the idea of a surprise birthday party!  I had to see if there was anyway that we could all be together at a set time.  We finally settled on Sunday lunch at a local restaurant.  My mother-in-law ordered a birthday cake and his brother picked it up and we all got to the right place and when the cake arrived at the end of lunch and the wait staff sang to him, it was like they used to say on that commercial - "Priceless!"

I think it helped a bit in the surpise that all of it took place a month before his actual birthday, but then that is what surprises are all about.  (He did comment that several things all of us did seemed weird, but he had no way to connect it to birthday plans.)

A very Happy Birthday from now until the actual date to my wonderful husband!
